2. Choosing an algorithm

Navigate to "product selection" on the top panel previewed below, this will take you to the product selection where you can chose the appropriate algorithm and filters that corresponds to your widget.

HyperPersonal recommendations are created using 2 main parameters, the combination of which creates radically different selections. Those 2 main parameters are the smart selection or sorting algorithm, and an optional filter that refines the article selection.

Choosing a smart selection algorithm.

The smart selection algorithm parameter identifies which algorithm is used to create the smart selection, whether its a selection of similar products/articles or a user-centric recommendation based on previous history.

Available smart-selection algorithms.

  • related: Highly similar products/articles.

  • similars: Alternative choices broadly similar to this.

  • alternatives: People also thought of when purchasing/reading this.

  • together: People bought with this.

  • user-session: Session special interest recommendations.

  • spe-recommend: 1:1 highly accurate general user special interest recommendations.

  • cat-recommend: Broad choices based on user history, categorization and keywords.

  • user-cat-hype: High conversion s within users frequented categories.

  • stereotypical: Products/Articles stereotypical of this category.

  • oddities: Odd s and original ideas.

  • hype: High conversion s appropriate to visiting demographic.

Choosing a filtering algorithm.

Filtering algorithms allow each widget to limit the selection of products/articles based on certain criteria, like number of purchases or trend or update/publishing time.

Available filtering algorithms.

  • All products/articles.

  • Products/Articles published/updated within the last 7 days.

  • Products/Articles published/updated within the last 30 days.

  • Top 10% of your best selling products.

  • Top 50% of your best selling products.

  • Top 10% of your most viral/trending products/articles.

  • Top 50% most viral/trending products/articles.

General Filters

Using the panel above, you can force the selection to only include in-stock products and-or products/articles with images.

Category Filters

Using the panel above, you can force the selection to only include specific category, or all except one or a few.

Type Filters
